• Own the development of a clear, trusted “single source of truth” for company performance, ensuring leadership can make decisions based on accurate, timely data.

• Ideally 5+ years in a consulting or banking environment, with strong project management and problem-solving experience.
• Evidence of operating at pace with senior leadership teams and Boards / external Investors.  
• Exposure to multi‑country governance is desirable.
• Ideally sector experience in energy, infrastructure or industrials, or familiarity with the renewable asset lifecycle (development to operations), project finance concepts (capital stack, lenders’ needs), PPAs, grid or permitting.

• Lead and continuously improve Elgin’s portfolio governance framework and operating model 
• Drive portfolio prioritisation and capacity planning across a complex renewable energy pipeline

What you will do:
 

• Review and work with consultants to prepare planning applications prior to submission 
• Work closely with the Development team to identify risks, address gaps, and anticipate potential planning challenges across the project life cycle 

• Lead the management of pre- and post-commencement planning conditions, including the discharge of conditions, preservation of existing consents, and coordination of amendment applications where required
• Provide ongoing advice on planning matters as they arise 

• Guide internal teams and external consultants through complex planning processes, including appeals and public consultations 
• Develop and execute planning strategies that maximise the likelihood of securing consent while minimising programme and delivery risk 

• Liaise with design teams, County Councils, An Coimisiún Pleanála (ACP), relevant state bodies, and key stakeholders

• Lead the execution of M&A, divestment, JV and capital recycling transactions on a day‑to‑day basis, from origination through closing, ensuring alignment with the agreed transaction strategy.
• Prepare and present materials to senior management and the Investment Committee, including investment papers, valuations and risk assessments, to support executive and Board‑level decision‑making.
• Proactively originate and assess acquisition and partnership opportunities, maintaining a strong understanding of market dynamics, competitor activity and valuation trends.
• Lead commercial, financial, and strategic due diligence, coordinating internal teams and managing external advisers (legal, financial, technical, tax).
